University of The Gambia Wins Consultancy Contract for National Resilience, Inclusion, and Skills Project

The Gambia Resilience, Inclusion, Skills, and Equity (RISE) Project has given the University of The Gambia (UTG) a consulting contract worth GMD 8,006,020. The project, which is funded by the World Bank through Trust Fund TF-C3623, aims to strengthen education and training systems, foster inclusive development, and increase community resilience in The Gambia.

Overview of the Contract
Under the borrower reference GM-CPCU-MOFEA-470725-CS-CQS, the award, which was made public on September 1, 2025, is the result of a Consultant Qualification Selection (CQS) process. UTG secured the top spot among eligible bidders with a leading technical score of 98 out of 100. The agreement will be in effect on June 16, 2025, and it will last for eighteen months.

Work Scope
The University of The Gambia will support the RISE Project with technical know-how, research, and training under this consultancy. Important elements of the interaction consist of:

  • creating capacity-building initiatives to improve inclusivity and workforce preparedness.

  • supporting educational approaches that prioritise equity and align with national development objectives.

  • assisting relevant ministries and community organisations in strengthening their institutions and exchanging knowledge.
